I normally make my own CAD stuff, but I did find this on Thingiverse. I printed with Red PLA for the front and back and Green PLA for the switches. I spread some black acrylic paint on a flat surface and pressed the top on to make the letters black. Kind of dorky but then again..how many have us taken off and forgotten to put in the SD card or set the RTH (especially if a unique situation). Anyway, I was bored and had some green and red filament I needed it use.checklist.jpg

Very well done.

Cool!

Very creative and looks time intensive. Wish I had one. I think I’d need a couple different categories for my purposes though. Nice work!
Thanks. 3D printers are great if you actually have a use for them. Lots of folks get them and make neat but useless things. I use it mostly to help my other interest. Right now I am printing out a new custom bottom plate for an RC helicopter I am rebuilding. I am also a Ham radio operator. I use the 3D printer to make custom brackets and cable holders. Having a CNC machine and a laser engraver are niceties to have LOL.

I now lots of people that bought laser engravers, CNC machines, and 3D printers and they are surprised that it is not a replicator like on Star Trek. If you find something that is already made for you then the learning curve is not so much. If you want to design your own stuff you need to learn at least the simplest of CAD programs.

I am designing a sun shade for the Mini 3 (I saw someone else has done and great job on that!) The one I am designing will be collapsible and fits in the storage space of a Symic case or similar. Also, it will allow easy access to the joysticks and buttons. Sounds simple but after a couple of prototypes, it is not where I want it to be. Once done I will put it on Thingiverse.

I like heli's as well and have made a couple of things in the last couple of weeks on builds and new builds. That is where a 3D printer shines:being able to make your own parts,

Here is an XT-60 battery holder for a build I am doing for a SAB 420 RAW heli and a bottom shelf for the ESC for a 230S heli that is being heavily modified. (If I kept the original motor I would have been fine but as Tim the Toolman says "more power!"

My first impulse was to dismiss this gizmo as - well... a gizmo.
But then reality set in - I have failed to put in an SD card.
I have failed to ensure RTH was set properly (how is these things change sometimes all by themselves?)
Sometimes I wished I had changed my RTH altitude.
Maybe I'll come up with my own mini checklist.
Anyway - potentially useful gizmo! Good work!

My initial thoughts were the same :) But I figured what the heck. I made two. I keep one in my hard case and one in my softcase. Just seeing it in there makes me want to double-check stuff.

👎 your pla is missing beer and chips….😄😄😎………seriously,i need something to remind me to press video recording before take off, probably place some kind of sticker between sticks to remind me 😀

Hi. Just got my printer and was wondering if the STL file is available? I could not find it on thingiverse.

Yes - click the link. I will say that Thingiverse has gotten touchy on ad blacking so you may have to whitelist it.
Honestly just make a to-do list in an app on your phone.
