A little help

Hi all newbie here so cut me some slack if I ask a daft question..what is the best way of connecting the Mavic Air I’m using r/c and iPhone X scared of loosing it as I nearly lost my spark a couple of weeks ago thankyou to all who reply

Umm - what alternatives are you suggesting? You've got 3 possible options:

1) iPhone mounted in RC & linked via cable to the RC side port
2) iPhone mounted via an add-on mount & linked to RC via cable to the RC bottom port
3) iPhone connected to drone via WiFi (no RC)

I wouldn't recommend 3, except for very close range flying - poor signal range.

1 & 2 both work as designed - I personally use an iPad in a Mavmount & link via a coiled link cable to the bottom RC port.

Not sure that the connection method is your main concern with regards to "scared of loosing it" though!

I’m not suggesting any just want to know the best way of doing it do I use the cable on the side of r/c? Or use a cable that goes into the usb in the middle of the r/c to iPhone ?

No problem.. I'd recommend you look for threads on Compass calibration & heading confirmation before you go flying - this seems to be the No1 cause of drone crashes / losses!
