This body of water is nearby, we don't know what it's for. Seems abandoned. This footage is from a few weeks ago.Can't get out and do a planned flight because of all the rain on weekends we have had since November 2018. I just had to get a video out, It's been 3 weeks since I've flown last.

Ah, looks like a sand and gravel quarry. Probably a local bluegill fishing pond now .

I've only been in this neighborhood for about 14 months, I just always see it when I fly from home. We drove over there one day and all access is gated. Mystery Lake.

That sir is an abandon rock quarry. This was a popular place late 60's early 70's to ditch cars in stolen or not. Some scuba dive shops use to take students there for practice. I have swimmed there many many years ago. Good fid on your part to only be in the area 14 months. I was born and raised in East Nashville. Maplewood high school at one time had a really good football program. Be safe in that area there are still plenty of bad folks in the area no matter how much the houses are selling for. Many newcomers think if they pay big price for house it is a safe area not so where you were flying.

I am trying not to get the tag of being drone police. There was a video posted of flying downtown Nashville around NFL stadium Titans. I knew with all the helipads no way in Haydee’s could he contact helipads or BNA international airport for flight clearance. Just let it go, I do well keeping myself out of trouble. Lol

It's probably an overflow pond from the toilets in those projects in the background of the pond.. lol, kidding, probably an overflow collection pond for rainwater from the streets and parking lots in that area... I'm just assuming, but you mentioned it's surrounded by fencing, so don't go swimming in it this summer when it's hot, probably snapping or alligator snapping turtles in the water... ..Nice shoot though~
