Air 3S: Enhanced Transmission with 4G

does i can use only 4G signal and disconect from dji wifi mode? as flying near ground at longer distance wifi signal lost. also if i fly in both modes at low ground and lost wifi signal, how fast drone switches to 4G signal and what it doing in moment switching if i fly fast near ground ? drone stops or just ascent to high rth altitude?
I've never used it so I can't comment on how it will work in those situations. Hopefully, someone here with experience can chime in and help you out.

You cannot turn of the RC Wi-Fi connection to the drone and only have 4G (Enhanced transmission) enabled. The 4G is a failure over signal that if the Wi-Fi connection drops out then the 4G kicks in. Once Wi-Fi reconnects the 4G goes on Standby. 4G Connection, when enabled is always on and on standby to take over signal. The switch over from Wi-Fi to 4G is almost instantaneous on loss of RC Signal to the drone. If you want to fly low to the ground and lose RC Connection, don't worry because the 4G will kick in BUT ensure your 4G signal connection is strong in the area you are flying. Test the connection on your cellphone before relying on the Enhanced 4G to work 100%.

i would like fly near ground in forests, where RC signal works only if fly in high altitute, but 4G signal is perfect in all forest roads, except low ground near river. Also does drone returns to home point if lost 4G signal and dont has RC signal? i have both 3s and mini4pro. think 3s no need gps to return home, but m4p no returns?

Yes, If the 4G drops connection then the drone will RTH just like when the RC drops connection. It works the same as RC signal to the drone

does there is one disadvantage,-you need a nanoSIM card with subscription and DJI's service is chargeable after one year? how much they takes money ?

Yes, you need to have a nano sim inserted and need 4G subscription services activated. Dji gives you 1 year free subscription services and thereafter you have to pay.

So i'm new to this kind of flying but I have an Air3S and I live in Hungary so basically if I put in any SIM card which have mobile internet I can use it? How can I set it up exectly and do I need a modem too?

get any sim with data internet GB and all works. your RC needs connected to wifi when fly

The US government has done exactly ZERO favors for DJI and will likely terminate new products by defacto inaction in 2025.

DJI, through firmware updates, should unlock the 4G capability in North American region out of spite at this point if its compatible with our telco bands.

im use 4G dongle with my 3s. and will try next week with my mini4pro. EU user. i like fly near ground 5km from my home in forest😃

does any know how mobile data use 4G dongle ? im got sim card with 30Gb data and after month of flying data is free now. not much make videos or photos, just fly long distance , think fly about 200km

how need data GB if im fly a minth for 300km? it use data of internet when simply fly? im got 30Gb card and after minth shows free of data and cant use this card. need charge again data . correct?

To confirm, you have the dongle working in BC?
Unlikely.

Here is the present list of countries where 4G capability is enabled/allowed.

Currently the support countries are as follows: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France ,Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom. And China.

It is also supported in Australia and New Zealand although not listed on Dji website.

I was just checking as @MoToad ’s profile says British Columbia.

You misread me. Said I stay DISconnected most of the time. No WIFI, no phone.
Just as cryptic as your first post in this thread about the Dongle 2. What does Wifi or BT have to do with whether the Dongle 2 works, and what "problem" are you solving by no Wifi and no BT that is relevant to this thread?
