I had a pm sent to me to get involved with a so called banker to transfer money into my account as the owner and family has all passed away . This is just one more of the many scams out there looking to get banking info .

This is just one more of the many scams out there looking to get banking info .

That's not looking for bank account info.
It's a typical advance fee fraud or 419 scam.

I have a friend that finally admitted that he once fell for a romance scam that took over a year to end- he sent money to Argentina to help pay for his “girlfriend’s” airfare that he met online to help her come visit him in the US and never heard back from her again.

Its sad how many people fall for this stuff!

Those scams are so old, they have been around for more than a decade, I thought everyone knew that such a thing was so obviously a scam it was simply laughable. It's not like this is relatively new.

Not to mention the scams that pop up on an almost daily basis. Your Microsoft license has expired scam, you owe the IRS money scam, and many others. I ignore them all and just hang up or delete the email. There is always someone out there looking to part you with your money.

Just a couple of months ago I got a call from the 'sheriff' informing me there was a bench warrant out for me and to avoid arrest I needed to pay the fine by giving him my bank account number. I told him he was a f****** idiot if he thought I'd give him that info and hung up.
