I've been using an iPad
Air2 and always have to use a shield in the sun. Without the shield, the iPad is completely useless. I've been researching the
Crystalsky monitors for a few months. I've read a lot about overheating with the 2000 nit versions. I live in Maryland and in the summer you can easily be flying on a 100-degree day. I've had several overheating failures with my iPad. So, I decided to order a 1000 nit 7.8"
Crystalsky. Even before it was delivered I was second-guessing myself and thinking I should have just gone ahead and ordered the 2000 nit version. Today I received the 1000 nit
Crystalsky and tested it in the noon sun, with no shield. It's really amazing. I'm sure the 2000 nit model is even more amazing but I don't regret my choice at all. I think I'll be less prone to overheating issues and the brightness and clarity is truly amazing. Maybe when the next version of the Ultra bright comes out I'll entertain it but for now, I'm thrilled with the standard 7.8
Crystalsky.
