Any reason this wouldn't work like a Nvidia Shield tablet?

The Nvidia Shield is some people's option for using goggles because of the HDMI output......any reason why this tablet (1/4 of the price!) wouldn't work?

Reviews are mixed at best but for $53 try it and report back. Seems like a decent processor in it in addition to the HDMI port. My money is on a Shield lasting 4 times as long though.

I am successfully using an Acer Iconia One 7 tablet. Paid about $ 53 USD for it and (by sheer luck) it has an integrated GPS chip so I can update my RTH point from the tablet. Not essential but nice.

This tablet has specs that are spot on with my Acer however I have read some threads by guys that have bought tablets with similar specs that are choppy. For the money, its worth a try and if it sucks, someone in the family gets a late Christmas present.
