Areas near Lost Maples Natural Area (outside San Antonio).

I am making a road trip and camping two nights in Lost Maples State Natural Area from Houston so driving about 5 hours to it.

I wont be able to fly inside park (I don't think im gona be able to get a permit but plan on calling and asking).

Wondering if anyone has any experience in this area or along the path too it from Houston. It is just me and the dog so it's more of a looking for the right shots and short hikes as we go type of trip with the Air3, Avata, Air2 and FPV Drone lol.

Anyone have and secret or nice ideas along the way?

Indeed, I'm sure I will find some ways to get the shots i want without annoying anyone another reason I'm going during the week not weekend.

I do not really have any suggestions on Drone usage, but be aware that all state parks in TX are often fully booked long in advance, especially this one during the fall season. So be sure to have you passes already booked. Also, expect a long wait time as you enter, since even though may have a pass, you still have to wait in line to check in. Staffing levels are usually dismal and wait times can be long!
