I‘ll remove that last line, it’s not the point I’m trying to make. Polite is great and I agree with you, but going into a lecture about reading a manual is not. Neither are the “I can’t believe people don’t read...” posts. I’m new to droning. I was excited about this forum. I do learn from it. But because of something one of the “experts” said early to me, I won’t post anymore questions. My skin isn’t as thick as some. I just PM people who seem polite.Suggesting to read the manual and showing where it can be obtained (as long as given in a polite way) is not insulting.
I know more than a few people who spend $20,000 plus on a car and never read the manual. SHAME!
Full disclosure: I read the manual but did not retain the battery discharge fact. There is a lot of info there. I had the same question as the OP when my batteries dropped to 60% after a week. I went back and found it. I understood more when I read about it from a third party source online. I wait and charge my batteries the day before I fly now instead of right after I fly.
