Battery firmware compatibility

I now have 2 mavics one running 1000 the other will be running 400

I have 7 batteries, I was thinking of having them all the latest firmware

Will a battery with 1000 firmware be ok in a 400 mavic?

I would try but unable to at this moment in time

I know if you update you need to update batteries but I wasn't sure if it asked to downgrade batteries

I've never seen a request to match a battery with more recent firmware, only older.
