Battery came from eBay and it was really puffed up.

I dropped it onto the tile floor and it started hissing, threw it outside and it did the flame up and meltdown...

eBay sellers are somewhat dangerous,

Oh yeah, I think it is an M2P/Z battery ???
If so, there are aftermarket batteries out there, wonder if it was a genuine or not ?

It could be OEM, there were 2018 (I think it was ?) batches of the M2 batteries that were faulty, prone to outgassing / puffing up.

I don't think I've ever dropped a DJI intelligent battery, but the casings are very good and hard to damage on from impact, usually takes cracking a case or more so penetration, which is very hard to do.
