Best accessories for a DJI Mavic

Well let's see... A good starting point would be picking up everything out of the fly more combo if you have already.

I have 4 batteries, 1 for each slot on the charging hub

I got a had plastic waterproof done case from Best Buy that is absolutely fantastic.

Best buy sells filters too.

Also I really would recommend a good external hard drive set up if you record a lot. I bought the DJI flydrive but it was dead on arrival so I went to swap it out and they were sold out so I just got a regular external drive.

A good memory card.

Range extenders??? I haven't used mine yet, haven't had a reason to but if you fly far it could help out.

That's really about it covering all the basics!

Hey, thank you for your quick response! How did you swap it to hard drive?! Is it something you need to buy additionally? What we be the total costs of all those accessories? They seem to be vital!

I do need a good case for storing all those, thx @waddellw , I also need resolution upgrade and making sure that batteries do not exhaust once in a while.

When I had the DJI fly drive, the idea was you plug it into a computer and put the micro SD in the fly drive and you could copy straight to the drive.


When I swapped it now it still copies stright to the drive but it's slower because it runs through the computer.


All in all I bought it at once and fly more combo plus the accessories brought my total to 1,600 USD.

I recommend a hard case so much for the drone definitely worth it

Here are my favorite must-have accessories for the Mavic:

• Extra Batteries (get them from DJI or Amazon)
• Battery Charging Hub (makes it easier to charge multiple batteries)
• Lens Pen (to easily clean the camera or ND filters)
• Case (check out the Go Professional hard case or others here)
• Extra Memory Card (find commonly used memory cards here)
• Memory Card Reader (to easily transfer photos/videos from memory card to a computer)
• ND Camera Filters (find a list of good brands to use here)
• Toolkit (in case you need to disassemble anything)
• Combined Gimbal Lock & Cover (the OEM cover has weak tabs that eventually break off)
• Compatible Phone/Tablet to Fly (see a list of commonly used phones/tablets here)
• Extended Landing Gear (in case you need more clearance between the camera & ground)

I purchased it in store but there are many different places to buy it online


I have not tested the waterproof-ness of the case by drowning it in a pool yet but from the looks of the seals and clamps I'm not concerned and it is tough as nails!

Honestly any hard case would be good really. Pick the size you want and go from there!

I generally do not buy 3rd party, but the updated Yx for Mavic (Model-YXC06) has been one of my best purchases.
Additionally, ND filters are a must. I recommend Polar Pro up through ND 64

My extras are specific to me, but I got a Skyreat tablet mount for my iPad mini 4, an RC screen/stick cover, a 2-battery waterproof drone case, windsails and low noise props. Next, I'm going to get a lens hood and an extra battery - both I will probably get from Best Buy when the batteries are on sale. I will have to spend more time with my bird before I start thinking of other things I want and need for it.

Many people are recommending filters, but I'm happy enough with the video and images without them. Also, I have multiple SD cards already from my Phantom 4, but extra SD cards are always a plus.

Extra props. have at least a full set with you. I get mine at best buy. there are tons of knock offs but buyer beware. you can use the upgraded model for the mavic pro platinum as well. you can get those from DJI. I have a set but the stock ones work just fine.
