Because of the newness of the whole Drone Industry, there are sites popping up claiming to send you all kinds of paid drone piloting jobs. BEWARE OF SITES THAT ARE ASKING FOR MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES. Only sign up for sites that you only pay a fee, or they take a cut, if you actually get a real lead/job!

What these sites are doing are making professional looking sites, asking for a monthly fee which in turn makes you look like a bigger company than you are and getting you all kinds of exposure for jobs, but with no money back guarantee that you will get one single job. They take the membership fees and reinvest it into Internet advertising to try and snag other unsuspecting pilots to at least get two or three months of fees out of them before they realize it was a dead end.

Don't believe me? Just search Google for: drone pilots

https://www.google.com/search?q=drone+pilots

And you'll likely to find at least one ad for them depending on where you are in the world.

Thanks for the heads up on this, I am looking for sites now but they are very few and far between, I was warned about one site that had fake leads (for training leads) to the contact I know, they cancelled their membership. The drone jobs however do look legit and are more current and regular than other sites, but it's very hard to know.

I am going to do a run of targeted online ads instead (that's my background originally), I think I could spend less than a membership and get much warmer leads while having a very good SEO focused website.

I just picked up my Mavic 3T this week having a great time with the technology and gaining confidence with every flight. I'm excited about the drone industry, almost fells like the beginning of the crypto industry.

There is a site you can register for, for free, that links you to the tenders and jobs for Government and council jobs they have an aviation category. It's not brilliant, but it is worth looking at it is called VenderPanel, many jobs will be large scale so you are better to connect with big companies and being a subcontractor for them so you come under their tender proposal. This was direct from Wollongong City Council. I'm not too sure if other councils operate the same way but they said that any jobs under 10K will only require the councillor to approve, does not need to go to tender and they do not need to get multiple quotes if it is a reasonable quote for the job. Once you are in the system you can become a preferred supplier. They also prioritise local businesses in the LGA, so if you have physical address in the LGA you will be considered over any suppliers outside of the LGA. The other site they suggested is TenderLink, but what I understand is this is for large scale tenders over $150K and you are required to pay for this, TenderPanel was free to register.

- Drones for Hire - current and active jobs, jobs look great, good variety from film to surveys and surveillance, just not really sure if leads are legit - monthly membership fee.

- Aerologix - only 2 recent jobs listed in the last 2 months and it is a bidding system so they set their budget and you can bid with what you want for the job. I feel this can be a bit flawed because customers do not really know the value of the work so tend to set a really low amount. I believe Aerologix take a percentage of the paid about, and registration to the site is free for pilots in Australia and NZ. The system is nice just not enough jobs posted.

- VenderPanel - Australian Gov and Council jobs - free to view - various types of jobs - Australia

- TenderLink - Australian Gov and Council jobs - 95 per month - high level tendering over 150K - Australia

- Drone Freelancer - has an app don't know enough about this yet

I hope this helps!
