My antique battery died, so I ripped out the pouch cells and replaced them with 18650's.
I made no wiring errors... although I did connect the + and minus before connecting the balance plug.
fwiw - I un-soldered the + and - at breakdown before disconnecting the balance plug.
Now however: nothing. No lights, and charger ignores it.
My guess is that the BMS, aka "smart battery" board is equipped with a self-destruct? Does anyone know what their deal is? Is there a trick to reset that?
