Buying DJi Drones in other countries

I know 8-10 people who have purchased the Mavic 4 Pro, both in August, as well as in September, from South Korea or Japan, and they all received their order, and registered with the FAA RID, and did not have any tariffs, just State sales tax.
curious to how many in September, any shipment entering the US after Ag 29 should have had some form of tariff

There you go, you should say nothing.

I'm not some Jr. fanboy, but I am rather opposed to conjured conspiracies.

The problems importing DJI gear through customs began long before Trump was re-elected. Might Jr. be not too upset about it? I can imagine. But then I can also imagine he doesn't give a rat's behind. I simply don't know and neither do you, so have some character and avoid casting stones purely out of political animus.
Where is the conjured conspiracy, where is the political animus, if any thing it seems like a conflict of interest in terms of the appearance of influence for personal gain.

It is a fact that Don JR is now a major stock holder and on the advisory board of a start up drone company, with a stated mission to reduce and eliminate dependence on Chinese drone technology. While DJI is trying to survive in this country by just getting anyone to do the security audit, to investigate the claim of their violation of the UFLPA.

Yes their issue started before this administration took office, with legislation added to a bill by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik

I haven't' been out o the country in a long time... When you take your drone out and then return and bring it back in, is there some sort of paper trail you are supposed to keep with you demonstrating you took it with you on the way out?

If not...
Yes, the safest is to register any high ticket items with US Custom before you leave. The down side is if you will be making changes every time, it can be a pain. You can also just bring a copy of your receipt with you to show if asked

Redacted Form:
thank you for attaching these, but unless I am missing something these seem to be just identifying whomever as the importer, not the import form for any particular imported goods. If I an wrong let me know where I should be looking in these forms.

The forms were sent to me via Docusign. You'd have to contact HDS/U.S. Customs for copies - or they may contact you.

sounds like I paid an extra $250 or so for the M4P creator just to have it say tariff free in the eBay tittle and description... but all the other eBay sellers description say they will put the full value of the item in customs, so maybe a few weeks ago was the best time to buy a creator because now you have to pay an extra $250+ to make sure you don't have to pay customs or get a full refund if it gets rejected. ($3970 total including tax, as long as it's not defective I'm sure I will get over the extra cash I had to spend.)
