Changing home location while flying

While using the GO4 app when flying the Pro or Phantom, you can change the home location by sliding your finger across the screen, see the attached YT video. This feature does not appear to be available with the Air controller. Does anyone know a way to do this with the Air?

As long as the device you’re using has GPS (e.g. iPhone). If you’re using an iPad without sim & hence no GPS, you can’t do this

Thanks, that's the problem. We're trying to change the homepoint while in the air. iPad mini 4.

Yes, the home point can be updated mid-flight.

If you're using a Wi-Fi only iPad Mini 4, then you'll need to connect some type of external GPS receiver to it in order to reset the home point to your current location. A GPS receiver like the Garmin GLO or one of these would work.

It's also my understanding that if u don't have GPS in your controller, u can't update the position continually as the OP noted about the phantom.

Only the Mavic Pro has that feature. And it can only be used when flying in ActiveTrack mode.
