Choosing a strobe to use

How far do you reckon you can see them for before you start to lose visibility of it?

They advertise 3 miles at night! I mount mine on top as a added safty feature. Never tested during the day!
Do have to sort of close eyes, look away when switching on tho!! Otherwise you see green dots for ages!!

Seems like Firehouse/Strobon is the way to go if you can get hold of them in the UK...more importantly you need to consider how to mount them on the drone. I’m not too happy with Velcro/hook &loop. I used the Ulanzi DR-01 with a 3D mount from thingiverse for my MM...you can have a look at Question on Mounting a Strobe Light on the Mavic Air 2. My DR-01 is useful at dawn/dusk and when overcast...takes a bit from flight time so not sure how useful it is during the day?
