I still don't know how to get around 30sec copyrighted songs.

I'm just trying to figure out where I can get longer upbeat songs that are good, that are not from the youtube library.

you should search on soundcloud for songs that you can use in YT.
I like this guy, free to use in YT but you have to buy his songs..

yeah, he linked his soundcloud to a site called bandcamp. there you can download his tracks! I like Mai tai and pillow talk
