I've put together a 180 gram pack of an SJ4000 Take off camera modded for IR, a IR illuminator and battery pack to drive it . All fitted to an underbelly mount which blocks the whole bottom area of the mavic.
On the bench it looks and works fine but I'd like your thoughts on what will happen in the air and in the dark when I fly it
What sensors will be blocked and what impacts might that all have.

The bottom area of the Mavic Pro is a heat sink. If you mount something over that heat sink you are in essence insulating the heat sink. The heat "may" not be dissipated using convection cooling (air passing over the heat sink and transferring the heat to the surrounding air)

Its like running a race with a T-Shirt on and then running the same race with a Sweat Shirt or jacket.
