Damage air 2s by hand catching?

Other option if you can't hold your hand level because of the waves and it starts "fighting", just quickly keep the grip and turn the AC over (90 degrees or so) and the motors will immediately stop.

My preferred shut down option if hand catching.
You can left stick down / csc but awkward with just one hand.
Asking someone else to hand catch it ? Hmmm, not sure I'd ask that of anyone.

I have wondered if the very fast shutdown turning on its side would damage the motors long term, but I do this maybe 50% or flights at least landing, and for the M1P and Spark, around 5 years and nothing has gone wrong with them yet.

Sure, I can land the Spark on my palm no problems, wouldn't try that with the M1P though.
On land that would be difficult, on a boat better have those chainmail / kevlar gloves on
