Hello, I have been trying to post Instagram Reels edited in Davinci Resolve, but when it gets uploaded to Instagram, the quality drops significantly.

The export settings I use currently are:
Format: MP4, H.264
Resolution: 1080x1920
Frame rate: 60FPS
Bitrate: 8000 KB/s

It looks fine in the phone gallery, but as soon as I upload it to Reels, the quality drops a lot.

Take a look

Don’t know about instagram but YT uploads look much better if uploaded at 4K.

Not sure if 60 fps helps or hinders.

I figured out the issue.
60FPS is way too much for Instagram, and 4K really bad too. Because Instagram compresses its video files to less than 15 Mb, so the solution is to render the videos at the current settings:

0.5 (Before starting to edit) change the frame rate of the project to 30 FPS or fewer
1. Select YouTube 1080p preset in Resolve's Deliver Settings
2. Switch preset back to Custom mode
3. Change resolution to Custom and set it to 1080x1920
4. Render the video, check the size of the video, if it is larger than 15 Mb, go back to resolve and:
- Change the bit rate from 10000 to 6000 or 4000, render and check the result.
