Although DJI have that note on their website, it's completely untrue.
The app works perfectly on any compatible phone or tablet.
You have to download the app from DJI's website rather than the Android market.

Most of their current drones come with controllers with integrated screens.

Where did you read that?

In the DJI Download Center, DJI states the following:

"Requires Android 7.0 or later; we recommend using mainstream flagship phones released after 2019."

And then they go on to list a bunch of Android phones they support.

If you're having trouble finding the DJI Fly app for Android, scan the QR code in the "Android" section on this page.

Even if it were true, which it isn't, the Fly app is always still available from the Apple App Store, and can be installed on any recent iPhone and/or iPad. DJI's original flight app was originally based upon using either an iPad or an iPhone. It was only after they started making their own tablet devices, that DJI switched to optimizing their flight app to using Android, to avoid Apple licensing.

Whether it is now worth getting a drone is an entirely different question. LOL!

It sounds like confusion caused by this note that DJI put up a few months ago, causing folks to mistakenly believe that DJI Fly won't work on tablets any more.

DJI have been providing Android versions of their apps since at least the days of the Phantom 2 series, well before they had controllers with integrated screens.
I've been flying since then, always with Android devices.

Indeed, but DJI's primary platform began on iOS (Inspire with an iPad was the model platform) and the Android versions were originally second rate, with the iOS versions given new features first, before the evolution to their own Android devices. DJI was also found to be violating Apple policies prohibiting changes to the apps without the user's explicit permission, which they can now do at will on Android, without even having to go through the Google Play Store, by making users download directly from their own website, so there are also no publication delays that are outside of DJI's control. DJI is now fully in control of their app, especially with the migration to their own all Android devices, and away from controllers without screens.

I have a iPhone 15 and when I go to select Mavic 4 Pro there is no picture of it but all the other drones appear for selection screen? I have installed the latest version of the Fly app.
