DJI Spark going at 100 km/h?????!!!!!

Also I forgot to mention he watched the speed going smoothly up on the app interface while he was flying.
I had this drone for years, flew it with dronemask a lot, it was hacked and everything, but never managed to fly faster, than 50. The 2nd thing, that those propellers are not designed for that speed. I use spec HQProps on my Avata2, full throttle in manual mode and hard to reach that speed. 96 km/h rips the gimbal and the props off the Spark.

This is a Spark propeller. This low pitch prop generates more drag, than thrust on higher speed.

And one more, last thing: in able to speed up that fast, the drone has to be almost vertical. The drone just simply can´t do it, because after a certain agle, the drone shuts off.
This drone doesn´t fly this fast, because, the props are not suitable for this, neither the drone itself.

That's what I'm confused by- why did he get a speed reading in ATTI mode? However, all of my other drones also get speed readings in ATTI mode, so I guess that explains that. The GPS is on and can measure speed, but it has no control over the aircraft. (e.g. return to home or positioning)
Were your speed readings based on GPS? Does the flight data files in AirData show that you had GPS readings? Does the flight data show precis distance from home based on GPS while in ATTI mode? Could speed be determined by the IMU which determines movement based on inertial movements? I don't know the answers; I've never flown in ATTI mode.

I see your kind points. However, the drone WAS vertical. It was literally flying flat head on.

They were based on GPS. Maybe they could be.

I didn't want to start another forum argument with this thread, so I'll just post a video of it flying to end it.

Thanks for the info on your experiments. Maybe you are right, and I'm wrong. This Sunday, I'll get him to do another flight with everything closely recorded. Then I'll see what happens with that. 😁

Come on man, the Spark is almost as heavy as the avata and that´s the top speed of those FPV drones using racing props and high output battery. Close to 100 km/h is a huge speed for drones. With those, crap very thin floppy clip on propellers that drone is impossible speed up and control. The second is that very difficult to control the drone without goggles. And that old low performance battery just simply don´t provide enough power for the motors, that are again not have that power. support this speed. And photo drones can´t fly vertically, because the IMU doesn´t allow just max attitude and shuts off the motors. FPV drones are able to fly like that. What I can imagine, that the propellerblades tore out above 60 km/h. Only the frame is strong enough to support this speed. Next time pls post rather screen recordings and/or make a short flyby and film it, because, for us, veteran pilots, what you state here is 😂

How many years flying does it take to become a "veteran"? I Have been flying since I was about 6

I don´t know. I´ve been flying for approx 5 years, 3 years A1/A3 licence, 1.120 km flight distance in the dji app, (Level 32 with close to 1.500.000 points in the Go4 app) 65 in the Tello and over 40h. I have approx 1.200 flights altogether with a dozen different drones.

And wrote pilots, because many of us are on other forums in this group and know each other for years

Sound like i have a similar amount of experience- I've flown maybe 20 different drones, And have accumulated maybe 1000 hrs with my drones. I am on 5 different forums.

What are the "points" in the Go app actually for? I've got thousands upon thousands, but what do they earn up to?

Please show the flight data to support your conclusion. Did you visually see the drone flying that fast?
Yes, I did. I wish my brother would give them to me. will ask him again for them🤣

dji secret. A combination of flight distance and flight time registered by your dji app compatible drones. Someone asked it on the official dji forum, but I forgot. I´m actually amazed, that those Sparks still fly... I loved it. Had same design Tello to it. But museum age... Very outdated tech.

Ahh, ok. I have 3 tello drones, still working, but I almost never use them anymore.

I sold 3 more with batteries and gamepad and completely dimantled 1. I was more active on the Tello pilots, but dead for a long time. I loved my Tellos. Have rare Xiaomi nano router with 2 external antennas. This provide almost half a km range to the Tello. Have Volatello´s FPV app and were close contact because we live in 2 neighbour countries in Europe. He gave me a lot of tips how to set the app, I had a dronemask to fly it, not VR. These 2 still flying, the yellow dies, the blue is fast neu. Have 4 good working batteries. They are room deco for a time. Don´t fly them, have 4 dji drones in this moment and full fpv equipment. But amazing tech still.... Can program it with droneblocks, has telloMe function, RTH... I still love them.

Cool! What i'm lacking is the router thing. If I had that, then I would probably fly more.

Just redownloaded it today, because I have no more this old drones. The system deleted all previous flights, but updated this points.... Interesting... This is all dji drones I flew
Wow, cool.

I missed out on the spark about 6 yrs ago. Best Buy had one left online (I was at the store, none were in stock at the store). I made a mistake with the credit card while paying and they ran it a second time and in that short amount of time some else purchased it and I was left high and dry. I ended up buying a mavic mini instead a few months later, man I was very disappointed.
