I haven't received it yet..(update...I have) but Fed Ex says I have my Mav 4 batteries (2) coming today...I ordered this 4 days ago...from Korea and it shipped from Korea. How's that for crazy fast. DJI has said I can give them the serial number for them to confirm. I'll report back in either case and assuming it's legit, I'll share the ebay seller after I order two more :). I am assuming/hoping FedEx is not collecting further tariff money. I know they sometimes hold it at a center before releasing it, making you pay first but we'll see. I still can't believe it got here in 4 days. That's nuts - and faster than 90% of orders from Outside (of Alaska).
OK update after a few hours since I didn't get the above posted. I have received the batteries. DJI support is not available. Too late to verify the batteries. However...the packaging is perfect including the little green tab to pull out to open the box. The plastic over the battery...the serial number show up in the RC Pro2 etc. Best of all it came in 4 days from Korea. I'm pretty confident these are genuine or the counterfeiters made the packaging and all absolutely perfect, which I doubt. The ebay store I bought from is now out. Of course. I now have 5 and was going to get 2 more...LOL.

^My goal is also to get 6 batteries for M4P just like I have with M3P but I'm not interested in paying full price for them. Will wait for a deal....since I am willing to buy DJI refurb or gently used (less than 10 or so cycles).

BTW, I've never seen or heard of a counterfeit high end DJI battery. There will certainly be knockoffs one day but those are usually clearly disclosed, at least to the extent we can easily tell; however, the layperson might not know it. I'm also open to buying one of those as long as it's not completely junk. When I fly I usually never use *all* six so I can rotate the 5 if I need to with the 6th being for special or specific short flights, indoor stuff, sw updates, etc.

Yeah right now these batteries are really expensive, probably won't be anytime soon though when they get cheaper in price.
Waiting for something like a 15% or 20% eBay discount coupon that comes around every now and again and I something struggle to find something worthwhile to buy.

Glad to hear you got them as fast as I did, I have no idea how the guy does it but boy, he does it.
My gut told me to order one more so I did, it is on the way and will be here this week. That will make a total of 6 for me and with that, I will be good to go.

I have confirmed with DJI that the Mavic 4 Pro batteries I received are legit and have a warranty. the ebay seller is very responsive to any questions. his store is on ebay... 102_store is the name and as of right now, July 15, 8AM Alaska time he has some for sale. They are expensive - $10 more than what you can get from Adorama and that's something like $70 more than you'd pay from DJI if they sold them at all but if you really want a few more batteries, as I did, this is a good place to get them. No additional customs fees beyond the price and free FedEx shipping with a tracking number.

I'm on the edge of ordering a 6th but I have 7 for my Mavic 3 Pro and plan on using that in conjunction with my Mav4 given it has a wider wide angle and a longer tele. The issue is not being able to shoot DLog with the tele and that really is a problem if I'm shooting dlog with the tele on the Mav4. I'm going to play with DLogM on the Mav4 after seeing some video touting it as being better but you have to set the ISO to auto or some nonsense. I'm going to go back and research that.

I did research on that. There is less noise in the dark area - DLog-M with AutoISO is the way to go. And you should program a button for AutoExpose-Lock. And push it after starting a video. ;)

In less than two weeks I‘m going to iceland an I am really looking forward to using the best quality video settings in this beautiful island.
Greetings,
Oliver

So ebay is warranting batteries bought overseas but not the drone?

DJI is warranting drones that are meant for other markets...including ones bought from overseas but it is just their basic manufacturing warranty. There is no Care Refresh or whatever they called their replacement. If you have Care Refresh or their replacement already they will honor it but they will quote you 60-90 days AND there is a very good chance that Customs will hold it indefinitely or return it to whomever you bought it from. Most of the comments I've heard tend to Customs just holding it but there is no consistency because there is no official policy on this and it appear to me that it's just a crop shoot. I recommend getting insurance from some place like State Farm. I have my Mav3 Pro, Mav4 Pro and Avata 2 insured with them. I think I have couple others but I dropped my Mav Pro and FPV and...dunno about the others.

I had read that they will not repair any drone that was sold to the US from outside the US market.. Who knows..Guess we'll find out soon enough when someone needs service.

I've spoken and then chatted with them and got the same story. If it is within the 1 year warranty and if it a defect in the drone (manufacturers warranty is all they will give) then they will repair it. All caveats mentioned above apply...

Wonder where you have to send it for repair? So then there really is no detriment to buy the drone anywhere else as long as they’re going to service it. Of course no DJI refresh but I remember a time before that existed anyway. I took two different insurances out on my package so total loss isn’t my concern.

Ebay does not provide the warranty; it is a manufacturer's warranty so it's coming from DJI. All authentic DJI drones and batteries come with a manufacturer's warranty.

DJI USA says they will repair all drones at your cost, but if the repair is a warranty repair, and the serial number is not on their list from DJI Canada, it will also be at your cost, instead of free, as the DJI warranty must otherwise be handled through the country in which it was originally purchased.

The real problem is that DJI USA does not repair drones. They create a repair invoice based upon an evaluation, you pay it, and they send you a new refurb, which they must source from DJI Canada because no refurbs are in the U.S... If they are unable to get the refurb to you in the U.S., because of Customs holds, they will keep trying, by shipping another, but at some point, they may have to refund your repair cost and send you back your original drone, for reasons completely beyond their control.

Officially, the DJI warranty requires that all claims must be handled by the country of origin. DJI USA is making an exception for drones sold by Adorama and originating from DJI Canada, in that they will facilitate the warranty service through DJI Canada for you, where they deal with the cross border issues at their expense, but there is only so much they can do, if Customs holds up the shipment from Canada to you in the U.S..
