And in the UK you have to jump through a lot of CAA hoops if you want to fly FPV - so you would likely be wasting your money on something you most probably wouldn't be able to use.

Augmented sight should qualify as VLOS as you are able to see directly through the glasses as well as the display. No different, actually better than having to look down even briefly at a display. I realize many rules don't make the distinction between augmented vision vs VR.
