Final Cut Pro X & Mavic 2 Pro, Settings Help Please

Greetings! Anyone having success using their M2P with Final Cut Pro X? I tried using H.265 with Dlog-M, then attempted to drop this into FCP. The files were grayed out and unselectable from the media folder. They "appear" to be just like my previous in properties...file extension is .MP4 and the file Kind is MPEG-4 movie.

I want to use that new camera to its full potential but avoid the video editing conflicts.

What gives? Should I forget about H.265 or dlog-m? Do I need a newer version of FCPX.
What are the best settings for the Mavic 2 Pro with the least application conflicts but best video image?
I think I am done spending tons of cash for a while so please do not suggest paying for different video imaging software.

What FCPX version you have? h.265 was added in 10.4

Ah, that explains it. I have 10.3. Glad to hear it's as simple as updating.

Thanks for the the quick response. I found this and it makes the file size almost 1/5 smaller. With what look to my eyes 2-5% reduced IQ. Maybe it will help you also.
