There are always issues with firmware updates if you look at the many Mavic forums out there.
I have gone through at least 3 firmware updates and no trouble, I always have R/C, aircraft and batteries fully charged for all the firmware updates on all of them, I have had successful updates upto this point so I know what I am doing and nothing went wrong with this one it all was as smooth as always.
You forgot to mention the aircraft batteries being charged too as you have updated them also.
DJI are now going to sort it out for me under warranty.
