Recently one of my controller antennas became floppy. It won’t stay in an upward position.

Has anyone experienced this and if so, it there a fix?

I could probably figure it out but I don’t know how to separate the controller to inspect it :(

Thanks...

This is a known problem with the Mavic Air controller. There are a couple of threads about it on this and other drone forums. Here's a long thread discussing the issue:

Loose antennas.

PhantomHelp (a frequent contributor to these forums) developed a simple and inexpensive brace that I use to get around the problem. It's worked well for me for the past few months.

Can't you just get one of those foldable signal boosters? I think they should be able to do the job and under the right circumstances, you will get a stronger signal between your RC and MA.

Here' one.

Here’ a solution from our own @msinger
Should solve your problem cheaply, quickly and noninvasively.

A few weeks ago, I dropped the remote and it landed at such an angle that one of the antennas snapped right off the joint. I was extremely lucky in that it didn't shatter into pieces. It just popped right off the joint and was dangling from the connecting cable. I pushed it right back and it held firmly, in fact more firmly than before. So disassembly is also an option.

will be 81 in a week, and loving my Mavic Air

No, just saw it. There are other ones out there of course. Me personally I generally use mine for recreational use & for dog rescue. So I really don't think I need to go through the hassle, at least not yet. But if my antenna flops, then I'll most likely go this route.
Do you have this device yourself?
