Air 2 Flying in the USA.

Wonderful to be back in a favourite place-Naples FL. Managed to get up (no controlled airspace at the location) and snapped a shot of our hotel from 400ft. Early start to our day as the State woke us with an Emergency alert on our phone at 04.30ish! Will try to get up again while we’re here and indeed last night attempted a tricky fly up between the palms on the entrance drive. Each tree is wrapped in fairy lights and looks spectacular but a car drove past and will try to get another one tonight-without car!

Have fun. When I'm in the area, I like collecting seeds and starts from the exotic plants.
Get a mask and snorkle. Shells and sharks teeth are plentiful.

If you took seeds etc, back to the UK from anywhere outside of the UK, you would be in big trouble, if caught at the UK airport on arrival. Best never to do such a thing, if visiting from a foreign country.

Welcome to our state and two the USA. Naples is a terrific place to relax, beaches are great, and so is the shopping and the restaurants. We are all angry at the early wake up emergency call.

Back in it's global reign, England was known for collecting plants for the royal gardens. Yeah, only royalty can do it.

Our ancestors back in the 18/19th centuries collected some great stuff here and it’s now safe in the giant Kew Seedbank for when only a few of us are left!!
