Any of you in the US buy DJi drone from Gearbest?
Planning to get Care refresh from DJI.
Looks like they got a 7 days DOA policy -- can you help me with a checklist of most critical things to go over quickly (newbie here)?
GearBest is not listed as an authorized DJI dealer on DJI's list of dealers. When buying in the US, you'll definitely want to buy from an authorized DJI dealer so DJI honors their warranty (if you need to use it for some reason).
As @ksmusa noted above, Amazon is a great place to buy (especially in the US). They also have a 30-day DOA policy if the drone is shipped by Amazon. If Amazon is an option you're considering, you can find a sortable list of authorized DJI dealers with Mavics in stock here:
I have purchased all of my drone and accessories at Amazon. In fact, on one occasion I purchased a bad battery which was returned with no incident unlike DJI, which is a pain in the rear to make battery returns to.
