Ok so Cecil B. Demille has nothing to worry about but . . . this is my first attempt at marrying piloting, cinematography, editing, musical score (canned) and posting to YouTube. Footage was shot .25 miles from home just about in my backyard back in September. Thank you for indulging me.

Old Glory flying over the Rockies … was my intent.

Sorry I still don't get it, is something in the title an American expression?

Yes indeed. The phrase “Old Glory” is attributed to a Massachusetts ship Captain named William Driver in 1831. While watching the flag flowing gracefully in the wind, he yelled, Old Glory!”

Sorry but I don’t think your title fits the vision. Not many would “get it”, particularly those of us outside the US.

Well that’s the beauty of learning something new. The next time you hear the phrase, you’ll know what it means.

Thanks for the explanation.
BTW it is likely that you can edit the title, via the edit button.

Not what I was thinking when I read the title. However, when I saw the visual, I knew new in an instant. I was looking for the majestic peaks and snow-covered mountains.

But thanks for posting and reminding us of the symbol the US Flag holds. Next get a video with it out in a breeze.

Was lost on me too! I thought he was referring to his drone. Still really don’t get it. I guess you have to be an American to get this video.

Chris

Yeah, Old Glory refers to the US flag. Now (Old Bar), I don't get that one.
Old Bar was first discovered by white settlers on the 24th October 1818 by the Surveyor John Oxley when he crossed and named Farquhar Inlet. The town of Old Bar gets its name from "The Old Bar" located at the southern entrance to the Manning River at Farquhar Inlet.

AHHHH, very cool, thanks for the explanation. I'll check it out on Google map.
