Go stuttery live feed on Apple devices

I recently switched to the Apple world, I have an IPhone 8+ and the latest IPad (non-Pro). I had high hopes for using these devices for Go, I've heard lots of good things. However, on both devices the live feed is visibly stutter-y constantly - it doesn't come and go. It's not blockiness or interference artifacts, it's just not smooth This happens on both my Mavic and P4.

If I drop in the Xperia Z3 I was using, the live feed is butter smooth. Go back to an Apple device and the stutter returns.

I've tried uninstalling every possible app, resetting to defaults, new cables, following msinger's guide - but nothing has helped. It doesn't matter the location, my Apple devices always have a stutter-y live feed and the Z3 is like butter.

I have the latest versions of Go and IOS, bur the problem has existed across all versions of Go and IOS I have used.

Any ideas for what else I can try? So many people say Apple devices work great, I have to believe there is something I'm missing.

If your Z3 works so good, I say stick with that. I have NEVER had an issue with apple devices. i use iphone 6, iphone 7plus, Original ipad air1. ALL are problem free.

What about other control software such as Litchi, Autopilot or Kittyhawk? Do these programs run well?

Do you use the Original cable RC to iPhone / iPad ? Throw it away and get a high Quality one.
I like the toways cable Most. There is Short 15 cm Version with 90 turned usb connector available

Try turning off video caching. This seemed to work on one of my misbehaving Android devices. Unfortunately, I have not experienced this problem on my ISO devices.
