Meantime read this; the full 70 page DJI manual for your bird. The 4 pages in the box are just enough to get in trouble with. Also be sure to register the drone with FAA and affix the number they give you. Anyway, here’s the manual:

You can attach it to any exterior surface of the drone.

Marker, label maker, Scotch tape over a piece of paper... or something more weather-proof like these vinyl decals I make:
