Salutations from Lincoln, MA. Just received my Mavic Pro on Thursday and brought it with me to Vermont on a weekend while looking at UVM for my son. After using B4UFly and Hover to find a place to do a test flight, I found a high school with a large field in Bristol, VT. The first day, we were just figuring out how things were set up and managed a successful takeoff. But the weather changed to a drizzle and we decided to abandon the tests. The next day, we tried again and managed to fly it around the field. We were flying it around when the Bristol Police came riding up. The officer came up to us and was interested in the drone and asked a lot of questions. Turns out he was the tech guy for the Bristol Police and was considering getting a drone for his DJ job on the side to take pictures of weddings. He was awesome!
