Has anybody ordered the Mavic 4 from Ebay? Shipped from Korea.

Just received the M4P Creator Combo from an eBay store in Korea. Less than 4 days from the actual order to having it in my hands in Florida! Very smooth transaction and shipping. No tariff surprises or extra charges. FedEx blew right through the border and delivered! Very happy. The drone is a BEAST! Glad I did this, even though I was a bit nervous. Who know what will happen with DJI going forward in the US! 🤔😋 Thanks to all here that encouraged me to go this way!

That parting out was originally to keep the shipment below the $800 de minimus exception to tariffs, which has since been abolished. Luke was my alternative to the uncertainty of buying from Amazon Canada and using a Canadian Reship address for delivery, and then forwarding to the U.S..where I would be fully responsible for all tariffs required to clear U.S. Customs on the way in, which would have meant $6,200 U.S. in total! Fortunately, Adorama got in stock that Monday before my Thursday Canadian delivery at $4750 before taxes. Once Adorama confirmed Creator Combo shipped Monday morning with a valid tracking number that showed a UPS scan, I canceled the Amazon Canada order. $5400 from Luke would have been fine, but not once I found out he also now charges 8% sales tax on top of that! Adorama came to $5000 with sales tax, and a DJI warranty confirmed by DJI USA.

If you want one, order it from Adorama, whether backordered or preordered. They won't charge your CC until they actually ship, so nothing lost in placing an order if they can't deliver. Some Creator Combos preorders have been shipped much earlier than expected.
Is it possible Luke has a china connection who is breaking down the packages, bulk shipping the seperate complements like batteries, carry bags, remotes, pre-activated (used) drones, etc. to him here in the states. They would also break down and ship the empty original boxes, which then get reconstituted here, and matched to the correct s/n drone, add in the various components, and voila! New/used packages with a nice profit margin to cover the “assembly” costs.

Was yours a Creator Combo? Were you privileged to the declared used value on the Customs Forms the seller filled out? Do they remove the shrink wrap, or do anything else to make it look opened? Do they declare that it is a drone? Is this perhaps why some are already activated, to establish that they are "used" even if never flown? CovertDrones in Florida is selling Creator Combos that are already activated, and shipping the extra batteries separately a week later.
Yes
The seller told me they were declaring it as used. I didn't deal with customs whatsoever.
Nope, it was shrink wrapped and everything. Since S. Korea is our homie, they get litte if any scrutiny.
No idea if they declared it a drone, as far as I know, the only thing that was suspect was the used part.
It's possible that would be the case, you'd have to ask him. But it's loophole I took full advantage of.

Side note: I also bought my ND filters from a separate S. Korean supplier for less than 200 bucks out the door, and they arrived in less than a week to the middle of nowhere, Missouri. Brand new, sealed in the box, 100% authentic.

I may just start buying everything from S. Korea. Seriously....

Some of the Korean Ebay stores have/had 10% off today. K Wave had it at $3642 and DW Store at $3557.
Daaaaaannng. K Wave is the one I had success with. And With Us store on the filters.

And I 100% disagree with the statement about "just buy one from Adorama". Why exactly? Just so I can get a warranty? How about I just buy the State Farm personal articles policy for 80 bucks a year that also covers me against theft...and I'll pay for it with the $1300 dollars that I saved by buying from S. Korea. And hell, I could even buy an Avata 2 with what I've got left. Also, Adorama is milking this for all it's worth, check the price of their ND filters...lol. So I guess if you don't like saving money and getting screwed and HAVE to get your 1 year warranty, then I guess Adorama is the one for you.

What happens if you cant get a replacement drone,in place of the original 4 pro you were lucky enough to get in the first place
They cut you a check for what you paid for the drone. And if you have your car insured with them, or anything else...I just have a liability auto policy, they will NOT drop you for filing a claim. Filed a claim on my Macbook in 2023 and they didn't drop me.

And since DJI isn't even servicing the US now, what makes you think it will be easier for them than it is for you to independently get one shipped to your home? It seems pretty dang easy from where I'm standing to acquire one independently of DJI. Whereas DJI is telling me 60 to 90 days just on a care refresh for my Avata 2? I'll take my chances, thank you very much.

Don't ya love how our criminal president is helping teach us all how to be criminals?? I feel so dirrrrrty...LMAO
I'm convinced this isn't about mapping the national infrastructure of the US/ National Security issues. Directly anyway. And I certainly don't believe this is about Uyghur forced labor in the DJI supply chain. I think it is more about incentivizing US manufacturing to have an opportunity to play catch up. Forcing a leveling of the playing field will come at a cost though. I'd say DJI presently has about a three-to-five-year head start on all American drone companies, which will not bode well for the American Drone hobbyists or those using them in small businesses.
