Yep, I live close to Gatwick but rest assured I do comply with the ANO etc. First drone, normally fly RC planes but am keen photographer. Need to get used to this for forthcoming SW USA and Faroe Islands trips

Being that you live there, what was the local sentiment on the event? Drones evil? Gov't F'd up? Other?

Was there ever a drone? Were the only ones spotted the police drones? Gatwick has very sophisticated cameras so why no images? My local club have been contacted by the authorities asking about any disgruntled former members, looks like clutching at straws. I think we all feel for the couple who were vilified in the press for doing nothing. The folk I know who fly around the airport area are only too keen to comply with the ANO. We will all be affected by the proposed increased limits but feel that they will only impact those who already comply and those don't will not in future regardless of changes in legislation.

Seems like here the news is increasingly less likely to quickly jump to the drone conclusion. I suspect in part that by now everybody knows someone who owns a drone, and they don't necessarily fit the outlaw profile.

A local station has started bragging about their "drone in the sky"...whatever. Lame video if you ask me, but...whatever.
