Happy New Year everyone! I’ve been a photographer for 10+ years and have done portraits, landscape and tons of military events. I wanted to get into videography and they’re so many cool b-roll shots that you just couldn’t get without a drone. That’s where my awesome wife comes in, she bought me a Mavic Mini 2 and I love it!

Here are some things to help you get started with your Mini 2:

• The current Mini 2 manual can be downloaded here (it doesn't come in the box). Other important documents can be found on the Mini 2 downloads page.
  
  
• Check out this getting started guide for some tips not found in the Mini 2 manual.
  
  
• This video covers all the basics of the Mini 2.
  
  
• Your drone batteries will last longer if you use and maintain them like this.
  
  
• Practice flying outdoors in a wide open location that's free of all obstacles. Don't attempt to fly inside your house or in other confined locations.
  
  
• The drone records flight data each time you fly. You can decrypt and view those flight logs with these tools.
  
  
• Check out MavicHelp.com for commonly used accessories you might need.

Greetings from sunny, AZ. I loved Okie back in my Marines days. I was stationed at Onna Point with 3rd Recon Bn. That was back in the early 70's. I bet it has changed a lot.

What aircraft is there now. I was an instructor for F15 avionics back in the ‘80’s. There is supposed to be excellent scuba diving there also.

Thank you for your service! Still F15’s here on the flightline. Did you teach at sheppard?
Diving and snorkeling here is fantastic. We spent 4 years at Hickam and this is hands-down better for diving. We swam with a black tipped reef shark a month ago.
