Help! Can't open .dng images in Photoshop

I'm using Photoshop CS3, when I try to open the .dng images shot on my Mavic I get a message stating that CS3 could not complete the request because it is not the right kind of document.

How can I open these?

Thanks I've tried that but still get the same outcome.
I've also tried converting them using Adobe Digital Negative Converter 9.x but this states an error when parsing the file

I also have been unable to open the Mavic dng files in Photoshop CS3. I thought maybe rolling back firmware from .900 to .700 would help but made no difference.

Meh! Guess I will need to either keep shooting in .jpg or get new photo editing software.

This looks good and has a nice price.

The problem is that PS CS3 is over a decade old and the version of Camera RAW included with it will not support the Mavic RAW files.

Photoshop CC or Lightroom CC will be able to open them.
