Hi Everyone,
I've flown many different types of remote controlled aircraft in the past, fixed wing, heli, and quads.....started building my own quads years ago...then stopped flying for a few years. Back into it again with a wonderful Mavic, gifted to me by a customer.
Hardest thing I'm having to learn at the moment is what I can do and can't do now in my country. Because I have easy access between 2 local councils it's confusing determining what each of them have set down as local ByLaws.
A bit frustrating when all I want to do after a long day at work is unwind with a quick 20min fly at my local park but I have to apply for permission from the council, and then wait up to 3 days.
Still the Mavic is awesome, flying is awesome and I intend on following the rules no matter how restrictive.
I'd be happy to hear from other drone flyers in Christchurch/Selywn district to hear what works for you.
Cheers
