Since I usually try to fly in the mornings I charge my Lipos the day before. If the weather changes and I can't fly I will discharge the Lipos myself, and if I forget to I have them set to auto discharge after 3 days.
If I'm going camping where there is no power I charge everything the day before but use the batteries within a few days. Three at most.
