How to: avoid GEO System-induced forced landing and crashes

I use an iPad Mini 2 with the Mavic and it only has WiFi, so unless I'm very near a WiFi source that I can actually log in to, I guess I have no internet connect capability at all when I'm out and about flying.

just found this thread and was seeing if anyone has had the same problem as me.

i know this thread is old but still hope for me i guess.

this event happened around maybe 2022 or 2023.

i was flying my Mavic Mini 1 in my room one day in a low altitude zone just to try and fly it indoors.

the previous day i had unlocked the zone but didn't realise that the licence for flying in the zone was only for one day.

after about a minute of flying, i got a warning that i had to land my drone within a minute otherwise i will land itself. so i land it on the ground but the one minute countdown was still going.

so curious me decided to wait out the time to see what it will do but once it reached 0, the drone just disconnected from the controller.

the drone no longer connected to the controller and the drone didn't want to enter pairing mode.

the drone status indicator was flashing yellow quickly which means a warning in the manual and that the remote controller signal was lost. it has been the same until this day

the remote controller seems just fine as i can still make that enter pairing mode and my phone recognises it.

I've tried using the DJI assistant 2 for Mavic to refresh the firmware but it would just cut out during the last stage and never finish refreshing.

when i try reconnecting the drone to my computer, it will give me a warning that it malfunctioned.

taking out the SD card and even replacing it with a new one didn't change anything

tried taking it into another flight area where there was no restrictions but had no luck

I have seen online that some others may have the same problem but I'm not sure they had the same incident.

I have taken the drone apart and the board that the drone motors and where the battery connects to, it looks like someone put super glue on the solder points or maybe flux.

I don't know if it is the GPS part or if it is something with the motherboard.

do any of you think that DJI will implement a software that will make the drone overload itself or a certain part if it is in an unrestricted area?

any reply will be appreciated.
