IMovie enough or do I need Adobe or something else?

I have a semi old Macbook that can handle Lightroom and Photoshop without an issue. I just got the Mavic not long ago and im using Imovie for now. Ive noticed people talking about color correction which im not familiar with. I planned on shooting at the highest 2.7k or 1080 not sure on the frame rate yet as I have no clue which one is best for me.

Is Premiere that much better? Im going for that cinematic look for most things and hope to film some action sports in the near future.

I have a MacBook Pro but I rarely use it but I have my iPad Pro with me at all times and downloaded the LumaFusion app ($20) and it’s waaaaay better than iMovie.
