Neither the basic controller nor the original smart controller have a GPS receiver. I'm not sure about the new RC Pro.

I was under the impression that the phone or tablet needed to have a GPS involved, say for interacting with DJI Fly. My Galaxy Tab A7 lists GPS as an attribute, and if I try to connect to the drone (Mini 2) indoors, I'm sometimes told I can't fly because of NO GPS.
