iPhone 8 will not connect to DJI GO 4

Any updates on this? I just got an 8 plus and the mavic and iPhone are all updated with the latest DJI app. Worked but now use the lower cable port with an iPhone cable.

I'm using DJI GO 4.1.18 with an iPhone 8 Plus and iOS 11.2. Zero issues. Mavic has the latest firmware.

Oh and I use the regular cable for the port on the left, not the lower port.
