Many years ago, before I was ancient, when dinosaurs ruled the earth and my kids were small, our church hosted a free picnic for everybody. I was in charge of the game where you toss beanbags into buckets. When it was time for another activity, all the children went over to the other activity, but there was a little girl in town who very rarely spoke, or did anything, and she wanted to keep throwing beanbags into buckets, so I kept fetching them for her. Most thought of her as mentally disabled.

Suddenly, she said, "Airplane."

"Wow," thought I, "most have never heard her speak!"

A couple beanbags later ROAARRRRR! One of those military turboprop transports flew over, just above the trees! All the children toppled over and got up looking confused. "What was that?!?!?"

She just kept tossing beanbags into buckets. I learned that when she DOES speak, you better PAY ATTENTION!
