Is It Legal or still under DJI care refresh warranty?

Hello All,

Was just wondering if I Mod my Mavic to fly in NFZ (which sadly not so hard to do) will it still be under DJI Care warranty? (please don't post how to do it by the way so thread will stay alive)

Also, if I flash my phone it will still be under warranty so why not my Mavic.

I view the forum from the mobile app, so seeing others locations is not as easy as from a PC.

I'm in the US, so I'm speaking from my experiences which may not apply to *.cn.

Yes it's still under warranty until you have a mishap that can be connected to your modification. If you modify, and fly safe, then unmodify later, the warranty would logically remain in force.

Using the phone example, if you flash your phone in the US, most manufacturers/carriers will say you're on your own unless you can restore the proper software and demonstrate the same defect.

one more question regarding Legality, I f I use Litchi app (which I use a lot) and the drone got into an accident, does DJI cover it or is it called "using a software which was not intended?

That would be like saying you would fall out of warranty for not upgrading to the latest firmware.
