Is it possible to define an own virtual fence.

Is it possible to define your own geofence. Im thinking of defining an area I know is safe to fly, no obstacle. When trying to fly outside boundaries, the drone should just stop.

It would be nice to have when flying blind backwards. Need it when filming windsurfing, since it hard to keep track of surrounding islands.
Would also make active track much safer.

Any app that supports this?

You have posted in the General section so would be helpful if you gave an indication as to what aircraft/app you are talking about.

in the app either the go4 or fly app there is the ability to set height and distance parameters so the drone will geofence when it reaches the set distance

the app you should be using for mvics is the go4 app not the go app that is for earlier drones

Ok I didn't think of that. I was more looking for a more advanced geofence, like drawing an no fly zones on a map.

Why I ask is that I'm thinking of doing an app myself, but if it already exists one, I rather use that.

In the place where you will fly, after starting the drone and connecting to the controlling device, you can set a distance limit. Note that this will be the same every time you fly until changed again.

maybe tap fly or waypoints would be better for flying a defined area ,or even using a third party app
