Is This Legit?

Anyone know if it's a safe site?
eBay? It's totally safe! They've been around since 1995.

As for who to buy from on eBay, check out the seller's rating. The seller in question has been an eBay member since 2001, sold 30 items, and has a rating of 90 with 100% feedback. Not too shabby!

The drones are listed as "Open box", which means:

"An item in excellent, new condition with no wear. The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping, or may be in the original packaging but not sealed. The item includes original accessories. The item may be a factory second. See the seller's listing for full details and description."

Also of note, these drones are being sold through an auction, meaning they are unlikely to go for the low prices currently listed on eBay.

There are no details about the drones in the listing itself. If you have any specific questions, you should contact the seller on eBay before placing a bid.

Yep "listed for auction" Looking at the sellers one review I wouldnt mess with it.

It's odd that the seller states a $499 buy it now price in the listing title
Yes, the listing title states the price is $499 only when purchased from Camused.Shop. However, this appears to be a scam site, as every item is priced the same, and the deals seem too good to be true.

That website claims "Camused" is a business located at:
1680 W Lincoln Ave, Suite B, Anaheim, CA 92801

However, MojoCameras is the actual business located at that address.

It's possible that eBay account has been compromised, and then someone posted a scam listing.

In general, it's easy to get your money back on eBay when a purchase doesn't go as expected. Considering these additional findings, I'd pass on it as it looks like it might not turn out as expected and will just be more trouble than it's worth.

Some further research shows the creator of those eBay listings reused photos posted in many other listings on various websites. For example:

@GregS if you're asking whether it's safe to buy from Camused.Shop instead of eBay (the link you shared), the answer is no. I don't recommend purchasing directly from any website that isn't one of the following:
However, you should still do some research when buying from a marketplace. While purchases made directly through the marketplace are generally safe, scam listings are inevitable and can create unnecessary hassle compared to buying from a trusted seller.

I agree with most of the remarks about the site not being 'up to par'. $499 for a Mini 4 Pro Combo is too good to be true.
Thanks everyone!!!!

you will find, just about anything on ebay. Ebay does have a little checks and balance, to try and protect the buy and sellers.

Looks like the seller is out of South Holland, Illinois and has posted a quite a few items. I've always had good luck buying on ebay and have found very safe. Make sure any communication you have is done directly through ebay, so everything has a trail on their system. If the person wants to contact outside of ebay, that would be a red flag to me. I've bought and sold lots of stuff on ebay over the years.

Most likely a hacked account, common when old accounts suddenly start listing"too good to be true" stuff after years.

I always pay with PayPal as well.
Have had a couple of instances where I had to get a refund but had no trouble going through the process.
Buying through EBay never go into any links and keep your. communications with sellers in EBay messages and do not reply in any private emails.

Buyers are mostly GTG on Ebay but just remember, eBay is not going to protect the irresponsible buyer. Don't click on rogue links, don't go outside the process, don't pay with untraceable funds, observe the time constraints, demand proper tracking, etc. Thieves are aware of the processes and the loopholes and they know how to delay and obfuscate so unfortunately eBay is not for the people who don't know how to take care of themselves first; don't be a victim. Don't pay the thief and have your credit card or Paypal or eBay having to cough up the funds to make you whole. You may end up with your money back but it's not cool when a whole lot of other people have to take the hit.
