Judging Horizontal and Vertical Distances

If you look at this footage the second scene the crane is wel below the horizon. Nevertheless I felt some tension flying over it.

Thanks for posting that video. It was enjoyable to watch. The footage of the crane and ship were well done.

Objects often look much closer in the view than they really are. I too get nervous approaching potential obstacles, particularly when the gimbal is not looking straight out. But with the horizon trick, I can get myself to put my mind at ease.
