Still searching for other pilots in the area. I’ve been inventing new places to fly for the past 6 weekends, looking for new people and places to try. Hit me up if interested.

Greetings. If you make your way towards Center City, I fly in the area a lot.

Where do you go? I know Boat House row is available although I haven't gone there yet. Any other places? I usually fly on Saturdays, sometimes Sunday. I'm a workaholic during the week so that's out. Hope to hear back. Thx

Hey,

Many places in and around Center City:
  • The park behind the Art Museum and right by boathouse row gives some fantastic scenery of the entire area. At dusk you can get boathouse row all lit up.
  • Very early morning (like sunrise) I have flown right by the Franklin Institute. Only that time because there's no people around. Great view of the Comcast towers and surrounding areas.
  • Penn Treaty Park. That's just north of SugarHouse Casino. Got some really nice footage there on a sunny day with sailboats on the river. Although when I went, the entire waterfront area was closed due to construction. When it's open, you can walk right up to the water.
  • Penn's Landing area by the marina. Lots of open concrete space along the river. Great views all around.
  • Waterfront park areas on the Camden waterfront. You can walk the entire path from the Ben Franklin to the Battleship NJ. I was just there last Friday and flew around the battleship.

Gotta be careful with this one if the Phillies or Eagles are playing - TFR goes into effect during those games and Camden waterfront becomes NFZ unless you're practically right under the bridge on Water St.

Yes of course. Always need to lookout for TFR notices before any flight in any area. The games create a TFR from one hour prior to one hour after.
